[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ne of my favourite quotes ( and I have a few) states that ‘ The only thing permanent in life is change’ and the realisation of this truth has never been greater. I do not refer only to technology either, we have changing attitudes, changing boundaries, countries have changed, walls have come down, laws have changed, it goes on and on.
What I have learnt over time is that change does affect people differently and it can be as surreptitious as it is obvious, and that can make it difficult to embrace positively or indeed pragmatically and then it can often seem like an opportunity lost that, I hasten to add does not have to be the case.
I am going to cover change a lot going forward, and so I thought what a better way to introduce the subject that to speak to ordinary extraordinary people, and see what their attitude to change is. I have a serious of interviews coming up, a book review and an I will be talking to people for the whole month which I will report on at the end of this month.
I am highly fascinated by the impact of change, but more importantly I would love to hear what your experience is in dealing with the changes that continue to occur around us, whether we like it, embrace it or not. Do drop me a line and let me know.
